We now have smartphones for airplanes!

We all know the old problem while flying,  no cell phones allowed.  At lift off, any airline company let’s you know in all international languages, that you must turn off all electronics, including cell phones for the duration of the flight.

In theory, laptops and other devices must stay turned off during the lift off and landing, but cell phones have to be turned off during the entire flight. The reason? They interfere with the flight equipment, but  because of the altitude, they wouldn't work anyway. The cell phones work on a different wavelength anyway.

But now, the situation doesn’t look as grim, actually, the solution to our problems is here, in the form of Aircell. It's the biggest company in the world who gives access to mobile networks from aircraft, and even internet access.  Until now, their phones only allowed to call of be called, but now, faced with bigger and bigger demand for internet access, they released a model who grants you instant internet access during flight.

The phone is based on a Android OS, it has a 3.8 inch(9.65 cm) capacitive screen and the usual connectivity of any smartphone on the market. The design of the phone is simple, classic alpha-numeric touch-sensitive keyboard and the usual android keys(back, home and menu), a big display(compared to other classic phones) and the glossy finish to the case give it a stylish look, suitable to a business class phone.  Of course, we are talking about a business class operator, given the costs at which a network for aircraft operates.
